To Binge or To Purge? Neither is the Answer!

As another holiday weekend has come and gone, you've probably felt on more than one occasion that you ate a bit too much grilled and picnic food than perhaps you would have normally.  However, for some of us, we eat in excess amounts or "binge" on a regular basis.  For others, we don't eat enough, or at least retain our food long enough for it to do the good it's supposed to.  Eating disorders shouldn't be taken lightly, as they can do serious harm to our bodies.  Eating too much causes an unhealthy weight gain which can lead to issues like heart disease and high blood pressure, while eating too little, or purging your food, significantly depletes the nutrients that food provides your body to keep it strong by boosting energy and metabolism.  If you are having issues with eating too much or too little, be sure to see your health care provider immediately and talk about your options.  In the meantime, check out today's article to see what you can do to take a step in the right direction.

    Helping you make healthy choices,

The Team at Covenant Health Products
